About Us

I am Monetlicia J. Pettway, LMSW, “Coach Emejayé”—Licensed Master Social Worker, Alabama Department of Mental Health–DDD Support Coordinator, Certified Family Coach, and Creative Athletic Mentor. I am dedicated to empowering youth, young adults, and families through mentorship, sports, and creative expression. I completed undergraduate studies at the University of South Alabama receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Social work. After furthering my education, I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University with a clinical concentration in Children & Youth Services.

As a former student-athlete, I enter into this creative athletic domain with more than 20 years of creative athletic experiences that have shaped me into the person and professional you see today. As the founder of Rebounds & Resources, I have built creative programming and experiences focused on healing, personal growth, leadership, and resilience in the face of environmental and life challenges. Through coaching, mentoring, community outreach, and engagement, I have years of experience serving youth, families, and diverse populations of individuals needing services through community initiatives, marketing, and media. My work combines the creative arts, athletics, mental wellness, and storytelling to create safe and inspiring spaces where young people can build confidence, discover their identity, and pursue their goals with purpose.

With many hours of educational and professional training, my mission is to use creative athletic mentorship to engage, empower, and equip communities with the tools needed for long-term success, healing, and growth.
